I only collect bird figural whistles and ocarinas (but I cheat sometimes, and pick up a non-bird figural), and began with new ones. These are mostly made of clay: many talented potters in this world. Lately I've begun to collect older ones. I can find little to no information regarding these. Do you know of any organisation or book that could provide information, or collectors that like bird figurals and who could help with questions regarding any piece that I may find? For instance, I've found German made souvenir whistles, and would like to date them. I love your site, have bookmarked it, and intend to visit many more times. I intend to put my collection up on my site, and will let you know when it's there.

Regards, Deborah

Comment on Strauss slide whistle & many other samples.
