Tin Whistles , American Advertisments , Premiums
This lot of tin toy premiums  and whistles is from a Chicago based designer early 1930s.
There are four types of whistles
Escargots whistles
Flat rectangular two tones w angled mouth piece
Button whistles
Shepherd's whistle
Escargots, note the semi round windows, constructed of 4 parts.

This type with lithography of shoes advertisment are rare,

The shoes companies ads. are for Poll Parrot Shoes, Red Goes Shoes, Peter Weatherbird Shoes,
Buster brown Shoes, Triangler Brand Shoes, Twinkies Shoes,

Robin Hood Shoes premium, booklet and a two windows at different heights whistle .

4 tin variations whistles adv. Red Goose shoes, the center buttomn one is a Hummer - Buzzer type with
a sound a bit simmilat to a Kazoo /
the right one is a round tin siren whistle which was popular.
On the left an older type flat 2 tone tin whistle  that was the most common for adv. of all kinds.
I will propably devote another artcle to this tyype sometimes in the future.
