Dear Sir/Madam,
I was very happy to find your Museum's Blog and I would like to ask your expert opinion.
I am excavating an Ottoman shipwreck in Japanese waters. The ship sank in Japan in 1890, after a diplomatic trip to Japan from Istanbul, which took almost a year.
Last January we raised what seems to be a decorated bone whistle, now under conservation treatment in Turkey.
I would appreciate any opinion or ideas about its possible origin, or any references to similar items.
