Round Compass whistle made by BADUEL , one of the top french whistle makers
since 1870's or earlier,
His round whistles and compass variations were made from 1890's to 1920's,
The earlier model has cast mouthpiece and a larger bubble loop and is slightly shorter,
later models have the compass and rolled mouth piece made with larger diameter than body
and over ride it.
Body stamps on older models is at the back " Depose Baduel " and on later models above the arched window.
The model below has no finger rest at the stop hole c 1910's.

i have what looks like bronze whistle,it is from ship wreck, it has the words depose baduel on it and what looks like a glass devise on the bottom it is 58mm long,any ideas of age regards ronnie
