Double Pipe Whistle, Two chambers, with Inline Cast Mouth Piece, Strauss Collection .

A very rare victorian whistle found in the USA
only one known to exist. Possibly by J. Barrall c. 1890s.

L: 83 mm
W; 28.64 mm
D; (pipe diameter) 14.3 mm
Nickel plated brass.

Short pipe rings a G Note
Longer pipe tuned to F note.

Two tube whistle with cast inline mouthpiec, 19th century .
The inside of the mouth piece shows two small round holes in a diagonasl angle, (spmewhat reminiscent of pignose whistles). Unidentified maker, but dew to the unique diaphragm that shows only in one other whistle of the that type and is atributted to J. Barrall this seems a good possibility . I will  take time for some more research.

Another two pipe whistle with two cast mouth pieces and only one sample known was made by J Hudson and Co. and probably never released to the generaal market. I will bring a photo of, in the future.
